Aligned with our Holistic Framework, the College has been working with Melbourne University as a member of the New Metrics for Success program. New Metrics is a research-practice partnership between innovative schools in Australia/NZ and The University of Melbourne. The partnership is at the forefront of global work looking to find solutions for improved ways to teach, assess and report on the complex competencies that learners need to thrive throughout and beyond their schooling life. We have aligned and mapped the New Metrics complex competencies with the wellbeing and learning attributes in our Holistic Framework.
Through our involvement in this program, the College, along with the university and 40 other leading schools in Australia, was recently awarded the Australian Council for Educational Leaders (ACEL) Leadership Award for 2025. This recognises the work we are doing to look towards the future of assessment and reporting student capabilities. This is a significant achievement acknowledging that we are leading the way in best practice for preparing students for the world beyond school.
