Friends of Emmanuel Anglican College

Emmanuel Anglican College is proud to partner with ‘Friends of Emmanuel Anglican College,’ a volunteer community group comprised of the families and friends of current students and our proud alumni. ‘Friends’ is a fun, dynamic group dedicated to fostering engagement within our College community. They raise funds for the College and other worthy causes, staging memorable events that are a highlight of the College’s social calendar.

‘Friends of Emmanuel Anglican College’ supports the College in a broad range of ways, including:

• Operating the Second Hand Uniform Shop.
• Organising student events like fetes, discos and socials.
• Staging social events for grown ups, such as trivia nights and gala dinners.
• Supporting whole community events like the College Musical, Open Evening, and Carnivals.

How to Get Involved

Meetings

Meetings are held each term and are a great way to connect with other members of the College community, engage directly with the institution, and make new friends. All College parents and carers are welcome to attend ‘Friends’ meetings, which are brief and focused on event planning.

The ‘Friends’ Executive Committee is elected at each Annual General Meeting (AGM). ‘Friends’ new and old are welcome to nominate and participate.

Events

Each event that ‘Friends of Emmanuel Anglican College’ supports is designed to bring our dynamic community together to foster inclusivity and at times, raise funds for either the College or a worthy cause relevant to the Northern Rivers region.

Volunteering your help at these events is a wonderful way to get to know other parents and carers and contribute your skills. These occasions also offer valuable opportunities for businesses to engage with our families on a meaningful level. Prize donations, whether in cash or in kind, are always welcome.

Second Hand Uniform Shop

The ‘Friends of Emmanuel Anglican College Second Hand Uniform Shop’ is a favourite of families and is run exclusively by parent volunteers.

The shop is open every Tuesday between 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm during term (unless otherwise advised). All uniform donations are greatly appreciated and can be left at the office at any time. Money raised from this service is used to support various activities, resources and events within the College.

‘Friends’ warmly welcomes new members and support for their committee. Whether through volunteering, donating prizes or experiences, baking, or helping at events, all contributions are greatly appreciated. To get involved or sponsor an event, please contact friends@eac.nsw.edu.au
