Learning Support
Across the College there is a strong emphasis of catering for individual difference and differentiating the curriculum. The students that make up each individual class group have their own learning styles, needs and abilities. Through the processes of both formal and informal assessment the classroom teacher develops an understanding of the learning needs and abilities of their students and then sets about developing learning experiences that best cater for the individuals in that group.
The Learning Support Team assist the teaching staff to provide for those students that have special learning and behaviour needs. The Learning Support Team delivers a series of individual and small group programs to help students maximise their learning opportunities. These programs focus on Literacy and Numeracy development and supporting the integration of students into mainstream classroom. Students have the opportunity to access Life Skills Programs, HSC Pathways and Disability Provisions for assessment and examinations.
